After watching this Great Blue Heron go hard after a fish and completely submerge himself in the effort, I knew the opportunity for a "shake-off" capture was coming. I was able to grab this image as the bird removed all water so he could enjoy his meal. I love the freeze of the water spray and the "squinting" of the bird's eye as he removes the water from his body.
