I don't normally take family portraits, but made an exception in this case. I watched this pair of nearly fledgling Great Blue Heron young, as they squawked, fought and demanded food from their overworked parent. I was able to grab this capture just before 'Mom' left for another trip to the GBH grocery store for some more fish to feed her young. I love the 'spiked' hair like feathers these birds display at this age. Seems to match their temperament and attitude when they are hungry.
