Nest building time! I had been watching Great Egrets bringing nest building materials all morning as the mating pairs were preparing for egg laying and raising their chicks. I caught this Egret at a distance coming into the rookery with a large stick for the mating pairs nest. I was able to grab this capture as he landed at the top of the rookery island, being received by his mate.
